Declan Smiddy is a senior aviation executive with more than 35 years of international experience across airline operations, MRO, aircraft leasing, and aircraft asset management. A CMIoD and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, he brings proven C‑suite leadership and deep technical expertise to complex programmes throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, and Australasia.
As an EASA, GCAA, CASA, and New Zealand Licensed Aircraft Engineer, Declan combines regulatory insight with hands‑on engineering capability to deliver safe, compliant, and commercially aligned outcomes for operators, lessors, and MROs.
His career spans the full aircraft lifecycle, including line and base maintenance, heavy check oversight, asset and lease transitions, and on‑site project management across Boeing, Airbus, Airbus Helicopters, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Boeing Business Jets, Airbus Corporate Jets, and King Air platforms.
